DP83867ERGZ-S-EVM: Compliance test Fail at Template Test Point F, H.

Hi,

My customer has issue of compliance test fail with DP83867ERGZ-S-EVM.
Fail is at Template Test Point F, H.
Please see the attached file which is test result.
Could you answer below question, please?

Q1: Did TI confirm to pass compliance test with DP83867ERGZ-S-EVM?

Q2: If above answer is "Yes", could you give me the test result, please?

Q3: Could you advice me why we have fail result at Template Test Point F, H, please?

Hello Shimizu-san,

We have testing DP83867 for compliance but those results can be shared only under NDA. For debugging this question, can you check if customer has implemented the correct test mode as per the Compliance app note?

Customer didn't check compliance app note.
Customer is reading this app note for re-trying compliance now.

Customer has a question at this app note.

0x01D5 address is showed in this app note of page 12.
What is this register?
This register is not showed in datasheet.

Could you give me document which is wroten about this address, please?

Hello Shimizu-san,

0x1D5 is internal register setting required for outputting the correct waveform for compliance testing. The register is related to internal operation of the PHY so we cannot disclose the information.

Thank you for your support.
My customer could pass compliance test by setting Reg 0x01D5 = 0xF508.

Should we set Reg 0x01D5 = 0xF508 in case of mass product situation, too?
We think that this address affect the signal quality.

Hello Shimizu-san,

0x1D5 register setting should only be used in compliance testing. When the compliance testing is completed, the register should be returned to the original value.
