Hello,

I am migrating code from RM48L952 to Rm44l520.

Hardware: I have completed the function inspection under RM48L952. Then I change the MCU from RM48L952 to RM44L520. (Main OSC still is 20MHz). JTAG interface have passed the test by the button "test connection' in CCS6.1.

Tools: CCS6.1, HalCoGen04.04, XDS100V2.

Code: The code was generated by HalCoGen04.04 with a rm44l520pge setup, and it passed the "build all'

Problem: When I download the code to the rm44l520, I got a error information showed below.

Is there someone knows what the error information for?

I am creating a target config file for the RM44 MCU to see if I get the same error. Do you know if you played with the AJSM on the part that you are working with? That would also result in the error that you are getting.

Also, are you working on your own PCB? Which emulator are you using for the JTAG communication?

Hi Sunil,

Yes, I am working on my own PCB which have passed the rm48l952 MCU. I use xds100v2 USB emulator.
Others, That a 20MHz OSC is used for main clock of rm44l520 , is it ok or not?

What is AJSM?

I created a target config file using RM44L522 and I am able to work fine with this part using CCS. Can you please verify that your target config file setup matches the one shown below (except for the part number)?

There is no issue using 16MHz for your oscillator.

AJSM is an acronym for Advanced JTAG Security Module. This allows you to lock the part from JTAG access by programming your lock code in the customer OTP region of flash bank 0. This is described on page 113 of the datasheet (spns229a).

I have checked my setup file, I think it is same with your. It is showed below.

My PCB have passed the "test connection" inspection. Would you tell me what is difference between JTAG text connection and JTAG erase or program the MCU.

I have copy my ccs6.1's setup in enclosure.
