REGARDING MSP430f5529

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529, MSP430F2418
Hi eveybody!

I use "Proteus Tool 8.0 " to emulted my program. But in this tool does'nt have msp430f5529
So, can you show me how to add msp430f5529 into "Proteus tool"?

Thank you!
    • Well, you’ll need to add the proper MSP design files to Proteus. I don’t know whether one is available from TI. If so, it is found on the MSP430F5529 product page. If not, you’ll have to look for them at the Proteus community – or create them yourself :) TI obviously can’t provide design files for all 3rd party programs someone might possibly use.

    • Hi Nanda,

I had simulated some MSP430 code over the proteus v7.10 and v7.8. Yeah some generally available and mostly Gxxxx series not available there in proteus.

So what you can do?? First compile the code for similar IC to f5529 available in proteus. And at last when you ready to use the code on hardware then just compile the same code for f5529. It realy works.

yeah but don't forget to set the proper clock of msp430 in simulation. If you have any problem regarding proteus then feel free to ask. If  you start a topic regarding proteus then dont forget to mention the "proteus" keyword in title.

If further problem occurs then feel free to ask.

      Good luck,

    • Hey Nanda,

First tell me which features of MSP are you using?? like GPIO, ADC, TIMER, UART etc.

      • An internal ADC – 12-bit minimum resolution
      • Two DAC channels – 10-bit minimum/12-bit preferred.
      • A digitally adjustable gain amplifier – Built-in desired
      • for measuring LED rays and tobe collected by photodiode and displayed in LCD
    • Nanda,

You should us msp430f2418 for simulation. Since you are not using too much features so why you are using such a heavy MSP430?
