xds 510-usb2.0 Ti Dsp emulator chinese , no installation manual, error 2082 and 1047

Hi

I have a black hawk usb 2000 emulator which has malfunctioned. So I am using a xds 510-usb2.0 Ti Dsp emulator at the moment. It is a Chinese made bought at ebay. I first detected the emulator in device manager, then I have tried to set it in ccs setup. When I try to connect it to target 28335 from ccs 3.3 I get error messages, board is powered up when I connect.

Please help in this regard; also I have no installation manual for this emulator, just got help from digital spectrum and black hawk manuals, I need one for this emulator. i dont know where to get it.

 

Error connecting to the target:   Error 0x80000240/-2082 

Fatal Error during: Initialization, OCS,

Device driver: Emulation Connection Loss Detected on Target CPU.

It is recommended to RESET EMULATOR. This will disconnect each target from the emulator.

The targets should then be power cycled or hard reset followed by an emu reset and reconnect to each target.

I/O Port = 240 Board Name:F28335 XDS510 Emulator Cpu Name: TMS320C28xx_0

Abort: Close Code Composer Studio.     Retry: Try to connect to the target again.    Cancel: Remain disconnected from the target Diagnostic: Run diagnostic utility.

 

Also i get following error

 

 Error connecting to the target: Error 0x80000200/-1047

Fatal Error during: OCS,

PTI_ERR_EMU_CLOSE Error Occurred at 0x00000000

    We never made our own XDS510 emulator. Whomever is making those in China should not be using TI logos....

    You would need to go to that vendor for support.

     

    Why not just purchase a cheap XDS100 emulator from a reputable source? It's $10 cheaper on our estore than what you paid for that on eBay.

    The problem i am facing is that i dont know the vendor for this chinese xds510 usb 2 emulator whom i can contact , i was just thinking if some one else also used this emulator so i could get some help. If some one has used it please guide me how to install it.

    Certainly we will look for xds 100 devices as you told , i have used this interface on dmc motor control card.

    I/O Port 0x240 is for the TI XDS510 ISA emulator. It is the emulator that plugs into the old ISA slot on the PC motherboard. "F28335 XDS510 Emulator" option in CCS Setup is for connecting to a F28335 using this old ISA emulator.

    You need to find the drivers that can be used by your USB emulator and install them. Otherwise you cannot configure CCS to use your emulator since the platform you need will not show up in the list of choices. You should contact the person who sold you the emulator and ask were you can get the drivers.

    Thanks for the information ahout the difference between Ti xds10 and f28335 xds510. I have installed this emulator and i have got black hawk usb 2000 as well

    so its working now.

    Dear Ahmed,

    I have  a  xds 510-usb2.0 Ti Dsp emulator that is a Chinese made.

    I want to connect  CCSv3.3 to EVMOMAPL137 via XDS510-USB2.0 jtag emulator. but I can't find the "C6747 EVM XDS510USB EMULATOR " among available boards in CCS setup window.and I could not  use it.

    Do you have the prepare ccs3.3 driver for xds 510-usb2.0 Ti Dsp emulator?would you please send me it?
