I don't understand how the specified FSE using the internal reference can be less than the reference error. The ADS8505IB specifies FSE as 0.25% FSR, using the internal reference. The internal reference is specified as +/-0.8%.
Gentlemen,
Thank you for your assistance.
The ADS8505 is operational in my project. However, I did a side by side comparison with the ADS7885 (being replaced by the ADS8505) and found some linearity issues. The following graph illustrates the point:

Hello Harsh-san,
Customer is interested in ADS8517IB too, because “Power Supply Sensitivity” specification is better than ADS8505.
Could you supply “Power Supply Sensitivity” Distribution data of ADS8517IB with condition “+4.75 V…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS8505 , ADS7805 Hello,
Please answer following question about REF and CAP terminal capacitor.
Datasheet P5 “Terminal Functions Table” say about CAP and REF treminal that "2.2-µF Tantalum capacitor to ground…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: REF3125 , ADS8505 Hi,
I am using ADS8505IBDB adc for my data logger system. I am facing the problem with this adc. I have connected all circuit as given in datasheet. I am using OP37 opamp before the adc in unity gain. But…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LOG112 , ADS8505 Hello everybody. I’m designing a system for acquiring a current signal using the logarithmic amplifier LOG112. I would like to use a 16-bit ADC like the ADS8505. However, I’m not very sure how to interconnect…
Hi Jim,
We don't have an exact drop-in replacement but the ADS8504 (12-bit) or ADS8505 (16-bit) are good alternatives. Both devices are pin-compatible with the ADS7820 and have similar performance, but the ADS850x devices are also faster (250KHz), lower…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LOG112 , ADS8505 Hello everybody. I recently build a system for reading a current analog signal using the LOG112 logarithmic amplifier and the 16-bit ADC ADS8505. I directly connected the current input to the first input…
