    TI Thinks Resolved
Part Number: LMV331-N Hello E2E, Our customer is looking for the package tolerance of LMV331M5/NOPB for the proper process of measurement component (mainly interested in component thickness without leads). The link below indicates the PACKAGE OUTLINE…

Hello Gerardo, The LMV331-N is the original National Semiconductor version, the LMV331 (non -N) is the TI second source. After TI acquired National, all the "duplicate" National devices got a "-N suffix. So they are similar..but slightly different…

Hello Yutaro-ssan, At the time the LMV331-N device was released (late 1990's), they did not perform CDM tests. Since this is not a Q1 device, and a legacy National device, there was no incentive to perform the CDM test. I did dig through all the…

The LMV331-N was originally from National Semiconductor. The LMV331 and AZV331 were designed as clones, but the LMV331 has a wider operating temperature range. The cross reference tool shows that these indeed are P2P replacements.

Hello Peter, LMV331IDBVR is a valid TI part number. This is the Texas Instruments ( LMV331 ) second source of the National LMV331M7/NOPB ( LMV331-N ). LMV331DBVR is NOT valid since it is missing the "I", indicating industrial temp range. As far…

Hello BM, The ON LMV331 is actually a second-source copy of the original TI (National) LMV331 - so the TI LMV331 or LMV331-N are a drop-in replacement for the ON device. We are currently working on the comparator cross-reference database, and hope…

Hello Tomoaki, Which package are you using? This is very important. Is this the LMV331 or LMV331-N (ex National version?) Any power dissipated by the die will raise the die temperature above the ambient. You need to find the total power dissapated…

Hello Adrian, The TL331, and a few other SOT comparators, have inputs that are reversed compared to the similar op-amp pinout. The LMV331-N, LMV7275 and TLV1701 have the "op-amp" type pin out where the inputs are reversed compared to the TL331.…
