Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP8557 Hi,
I'd like to ask about PWM pin of LP8557.
Does PWM pin have internal pull-up or pull-down?
There isn't description about that in LP8557 datasheet, so I think it doesn't have. But my customer concerned…
Hi,
I think there are 2 choices to reset all registers of LP8557I.
One is to write RESET bit(0x00h D7) and the other is to recycle VDD(Power on reset).
Is there any difference in the state of device after these reset?
My customer concerned about that, so…
Hi David,
I have checked both EVMs for LP8557, and their I2C are both pull-up to VCC.
You can use this website to search the chip information.

Part Number: LP8557IEVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP8557 Hello,
I just received the LP8557 KIt and after following the simple directions the LED's are not turning on. VBOOST is just 7V and I have 9 LED per string.
I did note that when I change…
Hi Liaqat, I don't requires 150ma/ string so the LP8557 is an option.
Does the LP8557 use a constant current source which is PWM to control brightness?
thanks
Hi Shirley,
Currently we use Richtek RT8532 for LED driver , but have two issues.
1. Sometimes it triggers current protection and screen flickered.
2. Sometimes it was shuntdown in minimum frequency 75Hz.
So we want to change a suitable LED driver…
