As you suspected, those warnings you are seeing due to differences in your setup between the engineer that gave you the code and yourself. They don't appear to be preventing you from building and loading this old project. You could ignore them…

I was able to reproduce your issue. We have not validate TI-RTOS for MSP430 against new versions of the compiler. It looks like there is some change between ti-cgt-msp430_18.12.3.LTS and ti-cgt-msp430_18.12.34.LTS that is causing the issue…
