Hello Nahel,
There is also a third option if you only want to use the OPA858. A gain of 20V/V is above the necessary 7V/V for the device to be stable.
OPA858_TIA.TSC
Thank you,

Part Number: OPA858 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA855 Hi Expert,
My customer is using OPA858 as a current source, but it couldn't work normally. could you help to give some advice? thanks.
Thanks.

Part Number: OPA858 Hi Expert,
My customer is using OPA858 in optical module, but for the power sequence, they will power up Vin+ and Vin- to 2.5V reference voltage, and then power up the Vs.
based on datasheet, we will see the ESD path from Vin to Vs…
Part Number: OPA858 Hi Expert,
my customer designed a TIA application using OPA858, DC gain is 30K, AC gain is 100K, when PD received a light, there is no AC signal in output. could you help to give some advice?

Hello Christian,
That is a good debug method. The reason it could be stopping the hf ringing with the OPA859 is because like you said due to its lower bandwidth. The loop-gain crossover (AOL and noise gain intersection) occurs sooner (lower in frequency…
Part Number: OPA858 Dear all,
I am triying to simulate the TIA behavior of OPA858 using TI-TINA. I'm tring to I have some questions below:
1. Since the OPA858 is the kind of decompsensated OA, can I directly use the value of GBW(5.5Ghz) to estimate the…
Part Number: OPA858 Hi there.
I'm planning to use OPA858 as a TIA for measuring unknown devices (LCR). Max frequency range would be 10MHz., and there will be one amplifier per measurement range.
In the worst case range (100kOhm RF), I've got a good…
Part Number: OPA858 In the support response titled "OPA858: Ac coupled OPA858 non-inverting amplifier shows instable behavior", there is a recommendation to add a 20 ohm resistor to the +V power supply pin. Our design has bipolar power supplies with a…
Part Number: OPA858 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA656 Hello Michael,
One more question, regarding the Spice model of OPA858.
Does it model the effect of noise current increase with frequency, as described in OPA858 data sheet on the page 18?
Thank…
