V Pot,
The medical device kits/code are no longer supported. However, you could get the code from here code.google.com/.../downloads
Please see http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/C5000_Medical_Development_Kits
To connect a screen, the C5545 Boosterpack…
Hi Minjeong,
c5000 DSPs are suitable for audio processing but I'm not sure in details what processing you will do. As I understand you will connect a microphone to record the sounds and then will make processing. Therefor I recommend you the following…
Hi Sudestna,
The C5545 Boosterpack includes a C5545 DSP and CC2650 Bluetooth device on board:
http://www.ti.com/tool/boost5545ulp
Also the C5535 eZdsp has its P1 & P3 headers that can attach to a Bluetooth module like these ones: http://www.ti.com…
You should consider www.ti.com/.../boost5545ulp board then. But, of course, your understanding of digital signal processing should be much deeper than sending UART commands to DSP in this case.
Hey Mark,
Thanks for all the useful information. TI will help me to exchange the device for the BOOST5545ULP. So I have one last question regarding this:
Would the MSP430 launchpad also be suitable for the BOOST5545ULP, since it has also a DSP? Or…
Hi,
Yes, the TMS320C5545 DSP is well suited for voice processing.
In addition to Hossein's comments, the C5545 Booster Pack includes an on-board microphone and CODEC that supports the out of box demo that uses voice commands ("play", "pause", "stop…
Hi Paolo,
C5545 boosterpack software does readback of WAV files from SD card and outputs it to the AIC codec.
Download C5545 DSP BoosterPack Software Installer 01.01.00.00 from www.ti.com/.../boost5545ulp After installing, look under <install path>\source_code…
V Pot,
1) I suggest taking a look at the decimation filter demo in the CSL software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html located at C:\ti\c55_lp\c55_csl_3.08\demos\decimation\c5515\c55x-digital-mic-decimation
Look in the src directory of this example for filter…
Jon,
What exactly will your DSP project do? Do you need PurePath or can you also use BLE?
Please take a look at the C5545 Booster Pack www.ti.com/.../BOOST5545ULP . This board has a CC2650 BLE chip along with the C5545 DSP.

Hi Jay,
The C5545 seems a better fit for this application. Please see (step 10) in the link below of an ifixit teardown of a device that uses the C5545 www.ifixit.com/.../49046
The C5545 is a 120MHz device, and we have a Boosterpack eval board for…
