INA284: Technical issues

Part Number: INA284
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA190

Hi team,

Will this chip divert part of the current from the main circuit when collecting voltage?because my main current is very small, ma level.

My current to be measured is very small, so I want to measure it by amplifying the voltage, but I'm afraid it will be shunted and affect the measurement.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,

  • Hi,

The input bias current of INA284 is at 25uA typical, it almost certainly will affect the measurement.

If you don’t need the high voltage feature, please take a look at INA190. This device tolerates up to 40V common mode input while input bias current is only a few nA.

    Regards, Guang
