I want to read only the voltage of battery connected. Below is the picture of the connections I made. Battery voltage is 3.7v but I'm getting different values every time when i read shunt voltage (0x01) register which has huge difference. Is there any mistake in my connections?? Please guide me.

Hello Shamita,

The shunt voltage register is for measuring the voltage difference across a shunt resistor to measure current levels, and it based off of the difference in voltage between IN+ and IN-. If you are simply wanting to know the voltage of the battery connected, then you will want to read register 0x02, which is the bus voltage (measured from the IN- pin).

Thanks Mitch, this resolved my issue. Now I'm trying to read the current and voltage together. Here if I change the connections like if I connect IN+ to positive terminal of battery then how does it read voltage?
