AMC3301: Can AMC3301 detect 10us pulse voltage?

Dear TI team,

I am looking for a solution to detect 390VDC voltage, attached picture is scope waveform, the purple one is measured voltage with high voltage probe, the fluctuation between 370~410V, and pulse width is only 10us. I would like to capture as many samples as possible during each pulse.

Could you advice is AMC3301 suitable for this application.
The bandwidth of ACM3301 is 334kHz, 10 us migh only get 3 samples. Is there any higher frequency one, or other recommendation, thanks in advance.

Hi Allen,

Yes the AMC3301 will be able to measure this signal, section 8.2.3 in the datasheet shows an application curve for a step response input. Keep in mind that the device has a 2-3uS propagation delay. We do not currently have a higher frequency option available.

Thanks a lot Alexander and Kai.

The input range of AMC3301 is -250mV to +250mV, if I use it to sense DC volage, then the input can only be 0 -250 mV, I am afraid the input range is to small and accuracy will not good... as it will be dividing 400V to 250mV...

I hope it can measure precisely when voltage in range 370 to 410.

This voltage sensing excel calculator will help calculate optimal sensing resistance and compensation resistor. Please be sure to select the "Differential with R3'" Configuration from the drop down: https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sbar013

AMC3330 would also make this easier as it has a +/-1V input range and high input impedance.
