OP27: Letter "B" stands

Part Number: OP27

Hi,

Good Day. What does the "B" represent in PN OP27AJGB? Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hi Ray,

I think it stands for the SnPb lead finish material.

  • Hi Ray,

The OPA27AJGB is a legacy product with an origin in the '80s, and what exactly the "B" represents in the model marking is not evident from any of the product processing or datasheet information I could find.

The "A" and "JG" are explained, but the "B" isn't. It could have been added to indicate some electrical or package characteristic that differentiated from another version of the product, indicated by a "B" revision. I am just not finding any documentation that supports that.

If there is a reason that the trailing "B" indicator needs to be understood the PRAMPS Marketing Engineering team may try and research it. However, they may not be able to determine it because such details are often lost over decades of time.

    Regards, Thomas
