TLV9102: Wrong Body Size on Top-Page

Part Number: TLV9102
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV9152

The TLV9102S is available in the package X2QFN (10).

On the top page of the datasheet in the table “Device Information” the Body Size (nom) of this package is listed as “1.50 mm x 1.50 mm”.

I believe that this information will be wrong. Why?

On page 6 of the datasheet, figure 5-7, the TLV0102S housing with 10-pin X2QFN is named “RUG Package”.
In the attached set of drawings, i.e. mechanical data, the size of the RUG (R-PQFP-N10) is shown to be 1,95/2,05 x 1,45/1,55.
And since the drawing on page 6 seems to indicate a more rectangular and not quadratic package, I believe that the mechanical drawing will be right and the table on the top page will be wrong.

Could you please confirm this?

Thank you.

By the way, the table on the top page of the datasheet for TLV9152 seems to include the same error.

Kind regards,

Hans-Ludwig Reischmann

  • Hi Hans-Ludwig,

You are correct. That information is wrong. I have a good idea of what happened here. The 8 pin RUG package is 1.5mm x 1.5mm compared to the 10 pin RUG which is 2mm x 1.5mm as you have noticed. I think when we made the datasheet, we accidently put the 8-pin variant rather than the 10 pin variant into the Device Information table. We have it right everywhere else it seems but on that table.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'll reach out to the team to begin the process of revising this on all affected datasheets!

  • Tahk you for your really fast confirmation.
