The absolute maximum ratings allow any voltage up to 36 V. The IOH specification shows that only a leakage current flows.

But I don't know wheter this info is also valid for your "EP"-version.

There will be a few nA of leakage to V+ and GND, but nowhere enough to power the comparator (or whatever else is on the V+ line). At 1.8V, I would not worry about it.
The information in the appnote is also valid for the -EP devices.
