RC4559: Crosstalk

Part Number: RC4559

Hi Team,
making a filter using the RC4559P 2 -channel op amp. Input signals are going to be in the <100mV range, normally max +- 20mV or so. The question I have: how much do I have to worry about crosstalk between these two channels for this particular op amp?
I.e. should I have concerns about making a 2 channel filter from a single op amp, or should I use two op amps?
Thank you.

  • Hi Mark,

the crosstalk attenuation is specified in the datasheet of RC4559: 90dB at 10kHz measured with a source impedance of 1k and a gain of 100V/V. In an audio project this very very little crosstalk is completely inaudible. Keep also in mind, that in general the PCB layout and circuit wiring causes far more crosstalk than the IC itself.

Can you tell more about your application? Frequency range, sort of filter, etc.

    Kai
