LM741-MIL: Military Grade clarification

Are there different levels of Military Grade? For example Military Grade A, B?

See MIL-PRF-38535. The LM741-MIL does not appear to have this qualification.

Thank you Clemens. One more thing. The datasheet mentioned that for military specifications one can refer to RETS741X.
Is RETS741X a document? I am unable to find a reference to any RETS741X document.

Kirby states: "LM741J/883 is a mil grade part.  The LM741J is a commercial grade part that does not receive the same processing/testing/qualification of a mil grade product."

That RETS741X appears to be a document from National Semiconductor, which probably no longer exists.

Hi Clemens, Claro,

This would mean that the LM741J is a commercial grade part? Kindly help to confirm. It's confusing because the device (GPN) product description states that it's a Military grade. Everyone would normally interpret that all the device variants (OPN's) should be Military grade as well.

Yes I can see how that is confusing. The part is denoted as "-MIL" or "military grade" because as Clemens stated of the package and temp range.
