OPA2227: Difference in Epoxy Coverage

Hi Team,

able to clarify if this is a Manufacturing error in the Epoxy coverage. 

please see the difference in the below 

Yellow is with 100% coverage, while red is without. please advise.

Yellow is good, Red is the questionable one

    Hi Grace,

    I'm not sure I understand your question, is there an issue you are having with these components? What is the application?

    All of our components go under a final test procedure after the manufacturing process to ensure operation and meet the required specifications.

    thanks for your reply.

    my QC found difference in the epoxy coverage of the chip as per the above x-rays comparison.

    will there be any effect on the parts if the epoxy is not fully covered?

    Hi Grace,

    There is some variation in the die attach volume that occurs as a result of the die attach material dispenser.  This should not impact the operation of the device, the die attach has very little impact on the electrical performance of the device.
