LM7322: N/C Pin Connection

According to the pin configuration of LM7322 with SOIC package, #1, #5 and #8 defined as N/C

Does the N/C pin have exactly no connection to the internal circuit?

For layout flexibility, may I specify those N/C to IN, OUT, or V, as other pins definition even as GND while positive and negative power supplies are required?
