TLV3201: Is the output CMOS or bipolar?

Hello. I have scoured the data sheet (I think) and the web but I cannot find any statement that indicates whether the output of the TLV3201 is CMOS or bipolar.

Can someone please point me to the documentation that states this?

Hello JT,

The output devices are typical N and P channel MOSFETs. The TLV3201 is on a BiCMOS process, and it does contain a mix of bipolar BJT's and MOSFET devices internally.

There is not really a document that would specifically state this - It's not normally part of the documentation. I looked in our internal design review to confirm - but we cannot share that publicly (obviously). We cannot really get more specific due to IP protection.

I would point out that typically the datasheet does in fact give this information. It will usually indicate in verbiage or with diagram what the output technology is. I do not believe there is anything proprietary about whether the output is bipolar or CMOS. I believe this is simply an omission in the data sheet.

For us this is important as we are limited as to what technologies we can use in certain environments.

One place you can check is in the "Quality, Reliability and Packaging" document.

Under the "Fab Process Data" section. It is not as internally detailed as what you request, but it can give a clue as to the process (CMOS, BiCMOS or Bipolar)..

This should be available for every device. It can be accessed from the "Quality, reliability and Packaging Information" link at the far right end of the ordering table in the device product folder.

The inputs and outputs are CMOS, and there is a mixture of CMOS and bipolar within the internal stages.
