INA213: INA213

Part Number: INA213
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA210

In our application, we used INA210CQDCKRQ1,

The input signal is a PWM signal:

1) Freq=60KHz, Duty cycle=50%, Test VOUT=5V,

2) When reducing Freq=14KHz, Test VOUT is  normal signal waveform.

Replace the INA213,  and test the same phenomenon, that is  at 60KHz, Test VOUT=5V.

May I ask if INA213/INA210 does not support 60KHz PWM input signal acquisition?   What is the specific reason?

Are there any other recommended models? It is best to use PIN to PIN with INA210.

  • Hi,

The INA210/213 are too slow for this application. Here is a list of a few possible candidates. Unfortunately none is pin compatible with INA210/213.

  • Hi

The specification shows that INA213 is 80KHz, why not? What is the root cause?

Which parameter of INA213 is not suitable?

If there is no P2P, please recommend a suitable chip.

  • Hi,

You’re correct that INA213 BW is 80KHz. However it refers to small signal bandwidth. A 60KHz square wave is very different from a small signal sine wave of the same frequency. This is the reason why it is too slow.

There is more to it but as a first step, something that is greater than a couple of hundred KHz is needed to be able to respond to the 60KHz waveform. For this application, recommendations were already made in my first reply. Please click on the link provided.

  • Hi Mr.Zhou

    1. At high temperatures: Are there any changes for bandwidth and SR parameters?   The parameters described in the datasheet are  at TA = 25 °C.

    2. We test INA296B5QDDFRQ1,INA241B5QDDFRQ1, INA181A4QDBVRQ1,  The test waveform is as follows:
Check the datasheet There is no difference between the INA296B5 and INA241B5 parameters,  Why are they have  big difference about output waveforms?

  • Hi,

    1. These parameters will change with temperature, even though every design effort was spent to minimize such changes. This is one of the reasons to have some margins in system design.
    2. Are you sure the INA296 and INA241 plots are not swapped? It appears to me they are. I would expect INA296 to have more distortion due to the lack of PWM rejection.
