LM6134: [Case:711717]Technical Data Inquiry

Part Number: LM6134
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA4992

[Case:711717]Technical Data Inquiry

SiliconExpert is contracted by our customer to work with their suppliers for accuracy and compliance.

Please advise if we can consider that "LM6134BIM" is NRND and "LM6134BIMX/NOPB" is the replacement. If yes, Please confirm the Y2EOL concern. We have an agreement with you that all NRND parts are set to have 10-15 Years, and we already show this data on our database. However, we have a concern from our customer regarding this part "LM6134BIM" as it was introduced 23 years ago, but it's still NRND according to the latest DDF, so our customer would like to know if this part will be supported for the next ten years.

  • Only the tube packaging is being discontinued. The tape&reel packaging (X suffix) will continue.

The LM6134BIM variant was using SnPb lead finish, and was available only in tubes. The LM6134BIMX/NOPB uses plain Sn lead finish. I do not know if your customer cares about this difference.

There are no plans to discontinue the LM6134. In case your customer wants to plan for a possible replacement anyway: the LM6134 web page suggests the OPA4992; it has better parameters, but higher power consumption.

  • Hey Mohamed,

    Confirming the comments from Clemens,

If you would like a comparison table of the LM6134 and OPA4992, I have provided one below.

    Best,
    Jerry

  • We got from your reply that "LM6134BIM" is Active but Not recommended for new designs and this OPA4992 is the replacement ? if yes please provide the years to EOL.

  • Hello Mohamed,

If you were previously purchasing this device you should have received a PDN, if not directly, your distributor should have provided this to you. Can you confirm if you purchased directly through ti.com or through a distributor?

LM6134BIMX/NOPB is active and still available to purchase.

    Best,
    Jerry
