THS4121

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS4121, THS4521

Hi Team,

My customer choose the THS4121 as unit Gain applicaiton, we found that our user guide recommend the value of Rf and Rg is 150 ohm, but right now we changed to 10k ohm for each other, we seem the output voltage is little bit small than the input, we are using differential in and differential out, 0 ~ 3v supply voltage.

Does THS4121 support high resistence value on Rf and Rg?

  • Gary,

Larger values of RF and RG may cause stability problem, but otherwise should be ok. I recommend to place small capacitor like 2pF to 4.7pF in parallel with RF. This should compensate; the exact value depends on circuit board layout.

Another thing to look at is iIf the load is very low resistance, it can load the output signal.

The THS4521 is upgraded device that may work better, and is available in same packages.

If you are not able to find problem, please send me schematic, input and output, ac and dc voltages, power supply voltages, and other detail like load and source impedance.
