INA1620EVM: Is it suitable as a volume regulator pre amp before a TPA3126D2EVM power stage?

The INA1620 would work fine. The output can be AC coupled so there wouldn't be an impact on the 3V bias.

I presume you are talking about inserting capacitors between the 2 amp stages.

Are those capacitors or soldering islands for them already on one of the 2 EVMs?

Can you explain/show more precisely where to insert them, and which values they should have?

Do you know what gain range I would want on the INA1620EVM, considering that the input is from the PCM2903EVM-U and the output goes to the TPA3126D2EVM ?

The input signal can be no larger than 6Vpp. Since it is centered around 3V DC the max input signal is 3Vpeak or 6Vpp according to the other post. In that case you would have a gain of 1 if your signal is 3Vpeak. This all depends on what your minimum and maximum input signals are.

OK. I will look at the documentation for the PCM2903EVM-U to figure out what voltage it delivers.
