I am inquiring about some questions while reviewing TIDA-010237.

1.The core of TIDA-010237 is Hitachi product and I would like to know the information about the number of turns or turn ratio, and resistance calculation.

2. In the figure below, four lines emerge from the flux gate.
Is it a structure where the two lines at the top and the two lines at the bottom are connected or separated?

Hello,

The inductance value and and number of turns can be calculated as follows.

Using the formula N = (H * c)/ I

where

N = number of turns

H = strength of magnetic field(derived by B-H curve analysis to find saturation point)

c = circumference (derived form part data sheet) approx. 70.1 mm

I = coil current

from here the inductance can be calculated using

L = (u* N^2 *A) / c

where

L = inductance

u = permeability(found on part data sheet)

A = cross sectional area

2. There is one coil used for both drive and sense. There are four connections because the coil wire is cut in the middle for the sensing resistor.

Hello.
I have some questions.
1. As shown in the figure, up to what A is the current flowing through the L and N cables penetrating inside the flux gate? I wonder if it is okay for 50 A to flow. I'm planning to use only the single phase, not the three phases.

2. If only sensing for DC 6 mA is required, can the leakage current for AC 30 mA be processed without sensing in software?

1. The CT do not sense any current when the current flow in the phase wire (IL) is equal to neutral wire (IN), so it is ok for the 50 amps to flow.

2. It is possible, but one thing to be wary of is the response time when a trip is detected. You would need to two different paths one for AC and DC, and would still need to do some filtering.
