TL062: TL062CPWR replacement in MSOP Package

Hey team,

I'm trying to recommend a replacement for the TL062CPWR because my customer wants to move to a MSOP package for supply chain reasons. I found the TL072H and TL082H as potential alternates, but I don't see anything in MSOP packaging. If I am missing something please let me know. Does TI even offer an MSOP package of any kind?

MSOP has different dimensions depending on the manufacturer. Can you send what the customer MSOP package dimensions they are looking for so we can see if we have a best match?

Hi Robert,

The MSOP package that the customer wants is below. However, I misunderstood their request. They actually want an immediate replacement for the TL062CPWR in TSSOP. I suggested the TL072H but he said that the Iq/ch on this part is not desirable. Is there another part that could fit as a replacement?

TI's equivalent of that package is called VSSOP (DGS).

A part with similar Iq is the OPA2990. If you do not need rail-to-rail I/Os, consider the LM358B. (Both are available in both TSSOP and VSSOP.)

Hi Jason,

Clemens beat me to it but he is correct in both points. You will want to direct the customer to the VSSOP (DGS) package. You will also want to consider OPA2990 or LM358B if you don't need rail to rail.

However, LM358B has a slower slew rate than the TL062 which might be a problem depending on if you have a large fast changing signal on the input. I would recommend verifying before moving to it.
