Hello Juraj,
"MAP" is the identifier code for LM2903DGKR
The first two characters are the year and month code.
3 = last digit in year
1 = January
TI = Texas Instruments
Because there are multiple assembly sites, there are slight differences in the markings.
Are there any markings on the bottom of the device?
Hi Paul,
there are no markings on the bottom side. We have more devices with different marking. For example 318E, 32ON, 32OH. We had some problems with these, can you please check what these markings mean (those last two characters)?
Thank you
Hello Juraj,
We cannot disclose the complete information on how the parts are marked - due to counterfeiting.
The device on the right (2CTI) follows the current standard of "YMTI".
I need to dig a little deeper to see if the one on the left is correct as it does not contain the trailing "TI", but by the date-code it should end with TI...but there are also 8+ possible assembly sites for this device and not all have switched to the new markings.
Do you have access to the reels or box labels?
Hi Paul,
please check below photos of labels on reels.
1.photo - marking on device 32ON
2.photo - marking on device 32OH
3.photo - marking on device 318E
thank you
Hi Juraj,
Could you tell please tell me what problems you've been facing with these devices?
Per this applications note: Application Design Guidelines for LM339, LM393, TL331 Family Comparators Including the New B-versions (Rev. E), all of the photos you've posted have the JI3 die.
The table on the same applications note summarizes the output behavior:
Section 5.4 and beyond has more details on output behavior with above input range inputs.
Hello Juraj,
The device on the left markings are correct for the "HFT" assembly site. The last two digits are a partial lot code.
We cannot go into detail in public, but the labels and markings are valid.
Most likely you are seeing the difference in the "CHN" die, as Ho pointed out.
