AMC3330-Q1: Use as PT1000 temperature sensor

Part Number: AMC3330-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC3330, REF200, AMC3301

Tool/software:

Hello,
I am currently looking for a way to evaluate a PT1000 sensor with reinforced insulation.
I came across the AMC3330.

Would there be any reason not to evaluate the sensor via the internal DCDC and a resistor?

  • If you do not have a power supply, then your best choice is indeed an isolated amplifier with integrated DC/DC, i.e., some AMC33xx.

    What is that "VIN−" connection?

Wouldn't you want to let a constant current flow through the PT1000? With the REF200 configured for 200 µA, you would have a voltage drop of 0.2 V, and the best choice would be the AMC3301.
