LM2903-Q1: LM2903-Q1

Part Number: LM2903-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2903, LM2903B-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

(1) What's the meaning of underdrive and overdrive and different values mean?

(2) If we want to caculate the overvoltage accarancy, and use LM2903 as an overvoltage comparator, which parameters should be taken into consideration?

(3If we want to caculate the response time, which parameters should be taken into consideration?

  • response time here I mean from OV happens to output voltage reverses.

  • 1)Overdrive is how much you exceed your reference voltage.

When you have lower overdrive values your TpHL increases and TpLH decreases.

    2) You want to keep in mind the input voltage range, minimum overdrive voltage, output and drive current, and response time of LM2903B-q1.

Take a look at the recommended specs to stay within these for LM2903B-q1.

Also make sure this will fit your application, such that the input offset voltage will fit your OV application.

    3) The pull up voltage, and pull up resistor, and any capacitive or resistive loads on the output.

You can use figures 3-31 to 3-38 to estimate the delay.

If you want more precise response times you would need samples and test in a lab with your setup.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best,

    Michael
