My Customer, Sifang, is a very important railway customer. Now the customer chooses LM5041 for railway transportation projects. The attached is the LM5041 BUCK cascade push-pull topology circuit diagram. How to perform loop calculation in this topology?

The LM5041 BUCK cascade push-pull topology is not available in TI Power Stage Designer. TI Power Stage Designer cannot determine the control loop parameters of the LM5041 BUCK cascade push-pull topology. Is there any other way to determine the control loop parameters of the LM5041 BUCK cascade push-pull topology?

Hi,
You can do in this way:
- Assuming the push-pull work in 100% duty cycle so you can refer all secondary side capacitors and loads to the primary side. Then the transformer is eliminated and you obtain a typical buck.
- Use typical buck design procedure to design its phase and gain margin.
