Tool/software:
I am using PGA309 software for programming EEPROM on our manufactured products.
Recent Microsoft updates has caused repeated error of "Subscript out of range"
Is there any solution to this?
Thanks.
Hello,
Sorry for the delay in response, e2e was down yesterday.
Is this what your error looks like?
Could you tell me the exact steps you are doing to get this error? I will try to replicate it on my end.
All the best,
Carolina
Hello Carolina,
Yes, it is.
We use this software for programming our products at shopfloor.
Usually, when the software is launched, first thing we do is to "Detect" a plugged-in unit.
This time, it was not detecting any units we tested.
Then we tried re-launching the software and the above error pops up and continues showing that error every time launched.
Thank you.
Hello Dhiviandran,
Okay thanks for confirming. I will go into lab and test with Windows 11, here is my version:
Could you please share yours?
All the best,
Carolina
Hello Carolina,
Here it is, Windows 10 version and below is Windows 11 version that we have.
Thank you,
Dhiviandran
Hey Dhiviandran,
I am not receiving this error, I am able to complete a full calibration and write to the EEPROM.
Are you using the USB-DAQ Platform?
All the best,
Carolina
Hi Carolina,
Yes, we are using USB-DAQ platform, if it fits the usage of various types of multimeters as we use them for calibrating our products.
Is there any way that the interface cable may be causing this?
For instance, some of our PCs are using 9-pin RS232.
Thank you,
Dhiviandran
Hello Dhiviandran,
Are you using the multi-cal system? This is the only active EVM that uses the R232 connection: Multi-Cal-PGA309 System User Guide
There is this existing thread from 13 years ago when someone looks to have run into the same problem: PGA309EVM RS232, BUT NOT USB - Amplifiers forum - Amplifiers - TI E2E support forums
I think this was due to them using an out of date software program. Could you please confirm that the File -> VI properties look like this:
In the meantime, I will reach out to the designer of the program to see if they have additional suggestions.
All the best,
Carolina
