Is there an app note or cookbook of a VCA 810 dc coupled non inverting AGC amp or compressor?

The signal is a few hundred Hz. The application is ion sense combustion monitoring.

Take a look at the applications section of the datasheet starting on page 11. There are a few application circuits in there that may be helpful to you.

I saw the AGC app note, but I need a non inverting version. I assume it would be along the lines as that shown for the LMH6505, figure 9:

My prototype uses a Vactrol in a similar configuration. It works well, but is quite bulky.

John,

You can use the same circuit for the non-inverting case by switching the inputs. The only thing to be careful of is that your signal is symmetrical because the peak detection is done on the positive side.
