To all,

I'm evaluating the lmp91050 dev board with the spi04 board, I'm getting quite a bit of noise on the output.

Using a thermopile on U4.

How can we reduce the noise?

    Hello Bob,

    Apologize for the delay. I have a few questions:

    1) What is the magnitude and frequency of the noise on the output of the LMP91050?

    2) What is the configuration register contents of the LMP91050 (i.e. gain setting)?

    3) Is the noise removed or minimized when you short input IN to CMOUT via jumper J2?

    Answers to these questions should help but I imagine the thermopile U4 is picking up noise in your environment. 1st try to find source (laptop, 60Hz power line noise, etc.) of noise and minimize it. 2nd shield the board, especially U4, to minimize impact of noise. You can also connect the LMP91050 to an external filter via pins A0 and A1 to further reduce noise.
