I want to design a high-gain Transimpedance Amplifier around an OPA657. I was going to simulate it in Altium Designer, but the spice model for the OPA657 blows up when I do it. I ended up dropping in an LMH6624MA instead (which is one of the Altium supplied models), and it works fine. However....I still want to try the OPA657. So, I decided to download and install TINA and see if I could build one up there. Anyway, the transient analysis yields a flat line on TINA. with this design:
My signal source is a Si PIN photodiode with 6pF, and my test signal is 1uA at 10mhz
What am I doing wrong? Suggestions?
Thanks,
-Ted
Hi Ted,
I have no problems with OPA657 transient response using your circuit in TINA:
Here is my TINA simulation file:
