Sensor 4-20mA and 0-10v for DSP

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: RCV420, OPA2333, TMS320F28027, OPA333

Hi, I'm currently using a RCV420 for the current loop, but for import problems I was asked to change.
I plan to use for their 2 opa2333 .
the new design should have 4 input 4-20mA and 0-10v, connected to a dsp TMS320F28027
The following circuit, i wanted to know if you can make a recommendation.

 5633.0-10v-0-3.3v.TSC

  • Hi Juan,

I reviewed your the TINA analog circuit and it appears to do what is required. It is a very straightforward design. The accuracy will be heavily dependent on the discrete resistor values. The OPA333 has very low voltage offset and the gain will be very close to +1 V/V in the unity-gain buffer configuration. Keep in mind that the OPA333 output doesn't swing exactly to zero volts, but will swing very close if the load resistance is a very high resistance.

  • Thomas, in a week are testing. I'll keep you informed on the values obtained.
