Hi,
For my final year project I have a main board with a number of analog sensors that are all fed into an MSP and sent via bluetooth to a recipient client PC.
I've designed an EMG front end amplifier that will be on board, however I'm not sure if it will require an isolation amplifer to remove noise. My power supply is TI's BQ24022 Li Ion rechargeable battery.
Would I require the islation amp?
thx in advance
TJ,
The purpose of an isolation amplifier in an ECG system is not to remove noise; rather, it is to protect the patient from the electronics. For portable EMG I don't see this as necessary.
