will TLV4112 work by 2.5V power supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV4112

hello,

I am going to drive TLV4112 by TPS780300250DRV, set to 2.5V output.

will TLV4112 work safe at 2.5V power supply, does it need any margin at the low side of the specification.

thanks,

David Sun

  • Hello David,

The minimum supply voltage rating for the TLV4112 is 2.5 V so it will be operational with that supply level. As long as the voltage doesn't drop below this minimum it should be okay.

Do note that the amplifier's common-mode input voltage range VICR is not from supply rail to supply rail, but instead from 0 V to VDD - 1.5 V. Thus, the VICR is 0 V to 1.0 V with a 2.5 V supply.

The output voltage swings close to the supply rails; especially at very low output current levels. The TLV4112 Electrical Characteristics tables lists it to be within 300 mV of the positive rail, and 100 mV of the negative rail (IO = 10 mA), for the 3 V and 5 V supply conditions. The swing levels should be about the same for a 2.5 V supply.

    Regards, Thomas
