INA199A1 What is the difference with INA199B1 function ?

INA199A1 What is the difference with INA199B1 function ?

  • Hello James,
The differnce between A and B devices is that B devices have a different ESD structures that are not susceptible to latching with large and fast transient signals (>2kV per microsecond) at the device input pins. So B devices are better suited for those applications where such large and fast transient signals may be present.

  • James,

Here is the excerpt from the data sheet:

  • Hi Team,

The datasheet shows version A has more ESD ratings than B.
    Is it typo?

  • HI Yaita-san,

That is not a typo, that is correct. Version A and Version B have different ESD structures. This difference on ESD structure caused the ESD rating of the B version to be lower than A. We are working on releasing a spin of version B to increase to match A ESD ratings.

I am curious, what datasheet version are you using? Those numbers do not match the ESD ratings of the current datasheet. Please refer to current datasheet.

  • Hi Mayrim-san,

    I extracted a datasheet of INA21x.
    Thank you for your support.
    I understood.
