Hello,

I have question about LMH2110.

Q1:
 Our customer would like to measure the traveling wave and the reflected wave,that they using two LMH2110.

 They considering the attached circuit.
 Could you please check attached file?

Q2:
 RF frequency range of LMH2110 is 50MHz to 8GHz,it wrote in datasheet.
 However,Figure 7's data is wrote from 10MHz.
 They would like to input RF frequency at 46.35MHz.
 In this case, can it take property?

    I think the schematic looks OK provided the coupler provides the desired forward and reverse paths.  The RF impedance of the LMH2110 will be good down to 10 MHz, so it will work with the coupler, but the accuracy of the measurement will be somewhat off.  Figure 10 shows that the slope of the measurement will be acurate, but the intercept will be slightly high.  This intercept shift will impact all measurements, but becasue 46.35MHz is so close to 50 MHz the impact will be very small and is not much larger than the variation within the specified frequency range.

    If our customer considering attached circuit,can they measure the traveling wave & reflected wave?

  • Hello Manabu-san,

     

    I cannot answer the question about the directional coupler, perhaps the coupler vendor could offer assistance.  Our LMH2110 provides a very good 50 Ohm termination across a very wide frequency range, so in the configuration shown the coupler should operate as designed.
