LM360n Differential Comparator

Hello,

I am a student and I have a LM360N Dual High Speed Differential Comparator that I am attempting to use to discriminate weak signals for a cosmic ray experiment. I can get the device to function; however, I am not sure how to adjust the logic threshold voltage of the comparator. In addition, while testing the output signals using an oscilloscope, the output voltage seems rather low in comparison to the input and supply voltage. I am supplying roughly +/-5V to the supply pins and am using a function generator set at 1kHz with an amplitude of 2.5V. The output signal of the discriminator is far smaller than that, around 40-50mV, and I am wondering if it should be that weak or if there is something I can do to fix the problem.
