INA116 Simulation

I would like to use the INA116 in a design that I am currently working on however am unable to find a SPICE model for use in TINA or one of its competitors. Please can somebody advise as I have heard that this particular op-amp is well suited to my application but do not want to commit myself to it before I can simulate. Noise immunity is a very high priority so the model would ideally include the guarding pins etc.

Unfortunately the model that Matt built using the OPA129 does not include the guard pins.

Hi Pete

Thank you very much for getting back to me. Unfortunately I wanted to simulate the op-amp with several guard pin configurations. Is there a reason that a specific spice model hasn't been created for the INA116?

Hello Toby,

SPICE models are created for all new devices. The INA116, however, is ~21 years old. At that time models were not required to release a device. I suggest that you post a request for the INA116 model to our Simulation Models forum:

e2e.ti.com/.../234

However, I do not know how long it will take them to develop the model. I suggest that you fabricate a simple PCB to evaluate the device in various configurations.
