Does any one know of a single rail ( 5V) VCA that I can use to control the gain to an adc.

    Hi Erastus,
    Please take a look at the LMH6503 Variable gain amplifier (minimum supply voltage 5V) with linear in V/V characteristics (similar to the VCA822). Figure 65, and Figure 66 show some possibilities with regard to using the part with a single 5V supply.
