VCA822: supply voltage

Part Number: VCA822
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: VCA820, , LMH6502, LMH6503

Hi

On the datasheet, it is defined as the below.

And,

The maximum operating voltage is not defined. However, VCA820 it is defined as +/-6V on the datasheet,

Can we refer VCA820 specs to as the max voltage of VCA822?

And I have one more question about operating voltage.

Can we use thie device with V=+5V and V-=GND(0V) condition? As the above specification we should use this device with V+=7V~12V if V- is GND.

Is my understanding correct?

  • Hi Koji-san,

The absolute maximum supply voltage for the VCA822 is provided in the datasheet on page 5 and should be +/-6.5V.

I believe the VCA822 is specified for operation from V+ = 7V to 12V and V- = GND. I don't think it can operated with V+ = +5V and V- = GND condition. If you are looking for 5V single supply operation, then the LMH6502 or LMH6503 should work for your application.

    Best Regards,
