sir/madam,
following are the hardware, i wanted to use with pga309evm and below are few questions too?
hardware:
1. AS-1 Hydrophone (bnc connector)
2. pga309evm and adapter
Issues:
1. unable to read real world sensor(hydrophone) , i mean how to configure the evm board, should the jumpers be changed from default.
2. How can i get the frequency variation from hydrophone in the serial communication(or any other protocol), so that i can use it in controller.
3. is the output from evm, is mapped in terms of voltage, then how can i take the voltage.
please reply, ASAP,
Hi Shubham,
I'm not sure PGA309 is the best choice for this application. PGA309 is typically used as a signal conditioner for strain gauges and other bridge sensors. In higher gain configurations, its bandwidth drops to around 60kHz, which may be too low for a hydrophone application. Additionally, at 210nV/rtHz, the PGA309 may introduce too much noise for your application.
PGA309 does not digitize its input signal, so there isn't any way to read back its input voltage over the serial protocol. This conversion would have to be done by an external ADC.
If you're willing to provide some more detail on your requirements, it's possible we can suggest a more suitable part for this application.
