INA826: inA826

Part Number: INA826
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA2180, UCD3138

These days,  I always get a flag that "this end user is not qualified to receive free samples".

I did not enter  end user .

I am quite a bit muffled in getting quick samples to test out before ordering through SCM which is much lengthier process. It is very risky to have them buy if we have not tested out a circuit.

What is wrong  here I am doing?

Part in question is INA826

& I am ready with a pcb to assemble & test my sensor.

  • Hi Robin,

I would like to assist you in retrieving samples for the INA826. Please email me directly so we may resolve this. My email is l-soto@ti.com.

    Thank you,

I'm unsure what the problem is, but it appears to be an issue with the TI eStore. I suggest you get in touch with TI general support:
    www.ti.com/.../call-ti-support
Scroll down to the area near the middle of the page for telephone/chat and email support.

Were you able to get samples? If you're still having issues with this let us know.

i appreciate your inquiry about the part.

I have not had an opportunity to call the tel #  you gave me.

I will call them tomorrow to  help fix the system.

    thnx much

I found out - fortunately now- that INA826 is too slow.

But then while looking into INA2180 series, I realized what I really would have needed  is an amp that can remove the Vcc/2 CM from a fast Hall sensor. So now we have a bipolar output. Following that I will add a fast "rectifier"- that makes the sensed output unipolar. UCD3138 then uses  that signal  for power control.

But may be I do not need  to do all this: the current input ADC perhaps  has the algorithm to remove the CM & process the current sense as-is froma Hall device?

Appreciate any help in the matter.

The INA2180 and the UCD3138 are in different teams from the INA826, and we would need to transfer this thread to the appropriate team. You also mentioned a current input ADC. If you're going to use a TI ADC that team would be the place to start. Do you know which ADC you are considering?

    thnx for the reply.

The product we are designing with sensors and TI amps are stand-alone with analog output mostly, maybe digital equivalent.

So we wont know what an end-user would do with his/her  sensed signal.

BUT when we use UCD3138 for our system products, the outputs of course will go to the ADC of the UCD chip

These sensors will have MSP430 embedded in them.

    The beast is still evolving.

Once you have firmed up your design a bit more, if you have issues, post another reply or create a new thread with the device part number. That way the thread is assigned to the correct group.

    Thanks
