UA709MJ Op Amp Replacement

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV9002, OPA172, OPA170, OPA171, TLV9062

Need to find a replacement for the UA709M

  • Hi Bruce,

Do you require the frequency compensation pins that the UA709MJ offers? I do not know of a device we offer that has this type of feature.

Can you give a little more detail in the the specifications you are looking for in an op amp? Supply voltage, Bandwidth, device package, etc. will be helpful to know so we can recommend the best part for you.

A good starting place is to take a look at the OPA170, OPA171, or OPA172 depending on the bandwidth you require if you need a device with up to 36V (+/-18V) supply. Or the TLV9002 or TLV9062 for a device with a 5V (+/-2.5V) supply.

    Thank you,

  • Bruce,

For 8 pin SOIC package OPA17X should drop in as a replacement because OPA17X will ignore the connections to pins 1, 5, 8. They also have 3 different speeds. If you need DIP, there are lot of choices but you will need to break off pins 1, 5 and 8 or remove the components on the board that connect to pins 1, 5, 8.
  • Hi Bruce,

We haven't heard back from you so I will assume your issue has been resolved. If not, please post a reply below.

    Thank you,
