LM124-N: LM124J vs LM124J/PB

Part Number: LM124-N
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, LM124

Team,

-Regarding: LM124J/PB vs LM124J
       http://www.ti.com/product/LM124-N/samplebuy        ie LM124J/PB

http://www.ti.com/product/LM124M/samplebuy         ie LM124J

I have seen already the differences explained in:
https://e2e.ti.com/support/legacy_forums/hirel/f/935/p/677246/2493655#2493655

-Are there more high level information available on the differences?
-It seems that the same TINA-TI model is provided for both. Is it expected? are the differences so negligible that it can not be seen on the simulation?

Thanks in advance,

A.

  • The LM124 is an industry standard part and the models are generic and applicable to all versions.   Where differences in performance might occur is when the parts are used outside the guaranteed datasheet conditions and limits.

The areas where the datasheets diverrge are mostly abs max conditions and what can occur when abs max is approached or exceeded.   Another place the datasheets can be different is in the thermal properties of the packages.
