Hope you are doing well. When you get a chance can you help with below customer question:

Is LM741J usable for LM741J/883? Are there characteristic differences or other designator?

From what I have seen some differences are packaging and junction temperature.

Hello Randhir,

LM741J/883 is a mil grade part. The LM741J is a commercial grade part that does not receive the same processing/testing/qualification of a mil grade product.

Hi Kirby,

So on this https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm741-mil.pdf datasheet you can see LM741J which appears to be Military grade as well

is there a difference between LM741-MIL and LM741QML ?

Hello Dmitry,

In this case, the "-MIL" does not indicate military. This is a commercial product and a commercial datasheet.

I know it is confusing, but the "-MIL" suffix is used for a variety of product options, such as commercial hermetic packages (as in this case) or product sold as die.
