LMH6401: LMH6401

Part Number: LMH6401

Hi!

Could you tell me, please, if i use LMH6401 with a low frequency differential 100 Hz signal, will there be any degradation of HD2,  HD3 compared to 10 MHz signal?

There is a digital attenuator in the LMH6401. I was looking for a digital attenuator and all of them had the same problem - there was degradation of max input level,  so degradation of OIP3 and OIP2, when the frequency of input signal decreased,

Which attenuator is used in LMH 6401?

Can you ensure that differential 100 Hz sine wave won't have worse HD2, HD3 then 10 MHz differential sine wave with the same power lvl?

Thank you,

Anton

  • Hello Anton,

Please refer to figures 13 & 14 of the datasheet. The second and third order distortion should remain the same, if not better when working with frequencies under 10MHz. The attenuation of this amplifier varies from 0dB to 32dB and can be configured through SPI.
